Losing a beloved pet can be one of the most difficult experiences a family faces. During that time, many people are suddenly asked to make important decisions about cremation, transportation, memorial options and other aftercare arrangements while they are grieving.
Animal Aftercare Canada was created to make those decisions easier.
We provide practical information about pet aftercare and help families identify providers serving their community. Our goal is to offer clear, compassionate guidance so you can understand your options and make informed decisions that feel right for your family.
Why We Exist
Finding accurate information about pet aftercare can be surprisingly difficult. Services vary between communities, pricing structures differ, and not every provider offers the same transportation, cremation or memorial options.
Rather than asking families to contact multiple businesses during an already emotional time, Animal Aftercare Canada brings together practical information in one place and helps connect families with providers serving their area.
We believe every family deserves clear information, respectful guidance and the opportunity to choose the aftercare option that best reflects their wishes.
How We Help
Animal Aftercare Canada provides:
- Information about pet cremation, aquamation and other aftercare options
- Guidance to help families understand available service pathways
- Local information for participating communities
- Referrals to providers serving your area
- Educational resources to help you prepare before arrangements are made
When you submit a request, we review the information you provide and connect you with a provider serving your community. The provider will contact you directly to discuss available services, answer your questions and explain the available options. You remain free to decide whether those services are right for your family.
What We Do Not Do
Animal Aftercare Canada is an independent information and referral service.
We do not:
- operate a crematorium
- operate a veterinary clinic
- provide veterinary care or medical advice
- operate a pet cemetery
- perform euthanasia services
- guarantee provider availability, pricing or response times
If your pet is alive and requires urgent medical attention, please contact your veterinarian or the nearest emergency veterinary hospital immediately.
Our Commitment
We understand that every family’s circumstances are different.
Our goal is to provide information that is accurate, practical and respectful while helping you understand the options available in your community.
We continually review and update our information so families have access to current guidance as our service expands across Canada.
